DESCRIPTION:&nbsp;        The CPCA Technology Summit is a training and brainstorming opportunity for chiefs and respective members of their agencies. Through this one-day summit attendees will hear from peers who have been through the process of selecting a vendor from RFP to project implementation. They will have an opportunity to listen to candid struggles and success straight from the mouths of other agencies.  Register Here:  https://cpca.memberclicks.net/index.php?option=com_mcform&amp;view=form&amp;id=14839  Agenda:  8:00 am - 8:30 am Registration  8:30 am- 9:00 am Welcoming Remarks  9:00 - 10:45 am Mobile Technology  During this session you will hear presentations on the latest mobile technology services provided by CA DOJ\, San Diego ARJIS and the Santa Clara Police Department.  DOJ will showcase their new release of LEAWeb 2.0 and how it has been optimized to provide CLETS access on mobile devices.  San Diego ARJIS will present their mobile Tactical Identification System (TACIDS) that utilizes facial recognition to identify known offenders.  Santa Clara PD will discuss their situational awareness/command mobile app used during Super Bowl 50.   10:45 am - 11:00 am Break  11:00 am - 12:30 pm Personal Observation Devices and Community Cameras  This panel will include the Sacramento Police Department and their Personal Observation Device (POD) Cameras which were designed and built by Sacramento officers. They are secure\, durable\, highly visible and feature onboard recording\, LPR and the ability for live view and download capability. You will hear about the production process and community roll out\, including systems purchased by private neighborhood groups. In addition\, the Fremont Police Department will discuss their community camera registration program and their choice to choose a turnkey vendor for their POD cameras which are located on city exit points as well as their unique use in a local park.   12:30 pm -1:30 pm Lunch* and Vendor Tables  1:30 pm - 3:00 pm  Department Operation Centers  In this fast paced social media and information exchange society\, situational awareness has become key to the success in many high-profile incidents. Some organizations have begun developing situation awareness capabilities through the implementation of a Department Operations Center (DOC). A DOC can be everything from an as-needed to a 24/7 operation\, part of a large scale Emergency Operation Center event or a stand-alone center. Large and small agencies can benefit from the capability. This panel will help attendees understand what tools can be used and how the concept of a DOC can be established without large expenditures but provide value. The panel will also share experiences from real events including Super Bowl 50 to local day to day situations that have successfully incorporated the use of a DOC.   3:00 pm -3:15 pm Break  3:15 pm-4:00 pm Agency Round Table Discussion  This will be an informal brainstorming opportunity for all attendees to discuss emerging technology trends within their agencies.   4:00 pm-4:30 pm Closing Remarks
